Dave Balson's debut album "Om Is Where The Art Is" emphatically captures the young artist's passion, roots and wit in a raw setting. It is a collection abundant with the themes calling for a higher consciousness, compassion, and freedom for all, mixed with an infusion of a bit of Latin flare, reggae rhythm, and folk-rock which would come to inform Dave's later work. Produced with long time friend and Chicago music icon Jamie Fillmore, and released independently, the album spread to thousands of people all over the country almost solely by word of mouth.
